40 Years of Learning, 40 Years of FUN!

Ducklings has been providing quality childcare in Ormskirk for 40 years.

Research and knowledge show time and again that children learn best through play. At Ducklings we offer a variety of play opportunities to stimulate all development areas. Mark making, Maths and Science, sand and water, construction, malleable play, book corner, role play, creative play, ICT – all and more are catered for.

In addition we also offer a FOREST SCHOOL, Swimming Lessons, Spanish Lessons and a Gardening Club at Warbreck Garden Centre and regularly take the children on trips in our 7 seat car (Donald!) to explore the beautiful countryside that surrounds us – The Millennium Woods and Mere Sands are firm favourites with children at Ducklings.

Children get the chance to do all kinds of activities which they might not otherwise do – we love messy play and so do children, our environment is geared up for it – not like your front room!

Our staff are dedicated to bringing out the best in your child and helping them find what they are good at and develop those things which need it.

Ducklings has large spacious areas for rest and noisy areas where children can make music and so on. Children love to use their imagination, we encourage creativity at every opportunity.

We follow the children’s lead and their interests, supporting and developing their knowledge.

We are delighted to demonstrate our commitment to quality by completing the Lancashire County Council Step into Quality programme and are an Associate Partner Setting of Edge Hill University. In addition we are long established members of the Pre-School Learning Alliance.

Ducklings Nursery has a rating of 5 – Very Good under the Food Standard Agency’s Rating Scheme.
